RIDE Program
Hand In Hand is one of several contracted agencies to provide transportation services to help fill gaps left in Venango County transportation, such as transportation outside the time frames or geographical areas of the public bus.
The RIDE Program is a temporary transportation service, offered to those in need who meet the qualifications set by Venango County Community Support Services (CSS), with expectations that the rider will obtain permanent, reliable transportation of their own or with co-workers.
Common uses of this program include:
- Adults who are employed in the community and are in need of transportation in order to get or keep their jobs.
- Adults who are involved in services offered by Venango County Human Services.
- Adults who are enrolled in college and in need of transportation to keep their enrollment.
- Adults, youth or children as referred by Venango County CSS.
Note: The RIDE Program is a transportation option of last resort. Eligible riders must exhaust all other possible ways of getting rides before using the program.
All referrals for this program start at Venango County CSS, located at 1 Dale Avenue, Franklin, PA 16323.
